-Communicate property completion status and any on-site issues to the Foreman or Snow Operations Manager.
-Follow assigned routes and prioritize properties based on client needs and storm severity.
-Maintain accurate records of hours worked, materials used, and services completed at each property.
-Operate equipment safely in adverse weather and low-visibility conditions.
-Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
-Be available on-call during winter storm events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
-Assist with pre-season equipment prep and post-season equipment storage and maintenance.
-Communicate proactively with dispatch and team members to ensure smooth handoffs between routes and shifts.
Qualifications
-Previous snow plowing or equipment operation experience preferred.
-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; CDL a plus but not required.
-Comfortable operating trucks and/or heavy equipment in winter weather conditions.
-Strong understanding of safe driving practices in snow and ice conditions.
-Ability to work independently and make sound judgment calls during storm events.
-Reliable, punctual, and available on short notice during active weather events.
-Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with dispatch, foremen, and other crew members.
-A calm, focused demeanor under the pressure of storm conditions and tight timelines.
Physical Requirements
-Ability to work long shifts, including overnight and early morning hours during storm events.
-Ability to lift and handle equipment, salt bags, or materials as needed (up to 50 lbs).
-Ability to work outdoors in extreme winter weather conditions for extended periods.
-Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment, with alertness required throughout shifts.
